Can YOU Fix The Rangers Contest
Steve and I spoke about it in today’s podcast but I wanted to put the information on the website as well. We are having a contest for a $25 gift card to the NHL online shop. All you have to do is tell Steve and I how you think this Rangers team can be fixed. The solution can be comical or realistic, whatever you think we will like the best. On next Friday’s show we will pick the winner and share their solution on the show.
You can email your solution to hosts@nyrangerscast.com, call us, or leave them in the comment section of this blog. Either way make sure to leave your contact information so we can get a hold of you if you win.
Cant wait to hear what you all think needs to be done to this team.

How to fix the Rangers (sort of):
In order to fix the Rangers the Rangers must turn to their history and bring back
the players of the past to teach the current Rangers of the tradition of the Rangers.
Although they went through a 54 year drought there are many Rangers from the past
who can teach these Rangers about tradition so that they know how not to win the
Cup with valid reasons.
The Rangers must bring back the following 6 players to teach the current players
how to get hurt so as to ruin our Cup dreams on a physical basis:
35 – Mike Richter (Concussions)
5 – Dale (not that one the other one) Rolfe (broken ankle)
11 – Ulf Nilsson (broken ankle)
5 – Barry Beck (separated shoulder)
19 – Jean Ratelle (broken ankle)
16 – Pat Lafontaine (concussion)
If these six retired Rangers can teach the current Rangers how to get hurt the failure
to make the playoffs will not feel so bad (no pun intended) when the entire team
is injured and unable to play. It is better than not winning the cup with another
overpaid under performing team like the teams of the mid 1970s.
If that fails the Rangers should Fire Isiah because it could not hurt their chances.
