A great podcast; Dellapina was right on and very informative. I especially liked the information on Jagr, all of which I suspected, but it was nice to hear someone who is on the ground floor can back up my hunches. This team does have what it takes to make a good run, they just need to get over it realize it is just a game and have fun. Look at the 3rd line, the are producing for us now and they just go out and play. Maybe they don't want to get sent down or maybe they just know that this is a game they have played since they were kids and now get to do it on the biggest stage. Why not have a good time?

Great interview!!! I think Dellapina gave us a lot of insight on this team. But the Rangers are in the same position for the LAST 3 YEARS. Incredible roster, struggling just to make the playoffs. Is Renney that good, or was it Jagr who came in just in time to steer this ship into the playoffs? Look what happend when they got swept by the Devils 2 years ago. No Jagr, no wins. Now that Jagr isn't producing, look what happens. Also, Renney does seem to get outcoached on a consistant basis. But really, I do think it all starts with Lundqvist. We didn't start taking bad penalties and breaking down as much until Lundqvist's game started slipping. The leaders gotta step up and Renney has to start playing the top lines when you're down a goal intead of constantly playing the Betts line. They need more physical presence on the blue line. We have enough assets to get a guy or 2. If they don't improve in the next 2 weeks, Sather should let go of the guys who aren't part of this roster next year, get some LONG term assets, and see who's available come July 1st. Last but not least, Larry Brooks would be an awesome next guest.
