Kovalchuk Suspended

The NHL announced today that Ilya Kovalchuk has been suspended one game for his hit Tuesday night on Michael Rozsival.

It’s the right call.  Kovalchuk left his feet and hit Rozsi when he was in a defenseless position.

So the Rangers catch a heck of a break with perhaps the best player in the NHL missing five of the six periods in the home and home against them.  Now they need to make sure they turn that break into four points.
