If the Rangers were able to work out a deal for Liles (which wouldn't be easy), you would have to insert him immediately on the top pairing and on the #1 PP unit. Look at this guy's stats. This is a D-MAN with 149 points 287 career NHL games. When he's healthy, he's good for 35-40 points a season, and the only Rangers D-man you can possibly say that about is Rozy. There's no way Liles would be on the third defensive pairing! He's the quarterback for the power play the Rangers desperately need. He's a left-handed shot to balance out Rozy's right-handed shot. He's +11 for his career also, better than Girardi and much better than Tyutin. Liles is a first-pairing defenseman. Look, im not killing the guy, I really do think hes trying exceptionally hard. I just dont think hes playing very well anymore with Gomez. Sign Foppa and put him with Jagr, and give all 3 of our top lines equal minutes.
