As the economy heads South along with chances that the Rangers will win the Cup I am hoping that they do not make the playoffs. No playoffs, no ticket price increase.

Scummy thanks for the love man. We're here for exactly what you said, providing our opinions and a forum for others to express theres.
When it comes to the playoffs, Ive made my view pretty clear and its close to what you have. Except I have them making a first round exit. I think last night is a great example of a playoff atmosphere road game where this team couldn't step up and hold on to a five goal lead. As last night proved, if you let up against good teams your gonna get beat.
Keep listening Scummy and good luck with your friends.

I voted the "second round" option. The team looks absolutely amazing some days yet other days they look horrible. On paper as Eric and Steve have said, this team should be a Cup contender and honestly you can see faint glimpses of this but its not constant. With that said, this team WILL make the playoffs (they better, got 100 bucks riding on it lol). Good feeling they'll make the second round like last year but they won't be able to make it past, the consistancy issues with this team will prevent them from making it any further.

That being said, if somehow someway the Rangers can pick it up and make every PERIOD of every GAME in the playoffs look like the first period of last night's game... this team could be an actual Eastern Conference contender and dare I say, Cup contenders?

PS- I've only been listening to the podcast for about two months, usually listen to my warcraft podcasts(yes I'm a nerd) and I must say, I look forward to listening to Steve and Eric's opinions and their analysis of the games. Also, I love being able to come here and rant about/praise the Rangers with other Ranger fans. I live in NJ and the majority of my friends can't stand hockey and the four that actually watch the sport are as follows 2 Devil fans, 1 Islander fan, 1 Tampa Bay fan. So, thank you for providing me and other Ranger fan's in similar situations an outlet.
