The amazing thing about the East is that only one team is locked into their seed. That is the Flyers at 8. All other spots with two days to go are up for grabs. The Rangers can be 4,5 o 6.

If Sabres win in regulation Bruins drop to 7 but Bruins can end up 5 if they win and Rangers lose in regulation.

If Rangers win in regulation then they get up to 4 and Devils drop to 5.

As for the 3 lot, if Washington wins or gets to OT they get the 3 slot. A regulation loss and the Hurricanes back into the 3 slot as Southeast champs.

As for Eastern home ice if the Canadiens get more points than the Penguins in their last game of the year then the Habs have home ice locked up until the Cup finals.

What a bizarre game. The Rangers continue their season-long tradition of losing to inferior opponents. Renney gets as furious as I've seen him all season over something as inconsequential as shoot-out order. And Henrik with his worst showing all season in the shootout...

Meanwhile, it looks like the Rangers could still fall into 6th if Boston beats the Sabres tomorrow, and the Rangers can't get a point on Sunday.

Is it just me, or does Jagr's new facial hair make him look like Scott Spiezio?

Anyway, we can't have wanted it any other way, a chance to clinch home ice by beating the Devils in regulation on Sunday. We can do it, and we're going to have earn it.

Not only would a win on Sunday give us home ice, we'd also win the Hummer Metro Ice Challenge!! What more can a Ranger fan ask for?

Watching the Ottawa game now. If the Sens. lose, I think it guarantees the Rangers at least 5th place.

Just a clarification guys. With it looking like the Devils will lose in regulation, the Rangers only need one point to stay alive for home ice. Of course 2 would be nice, but the Rangers would still have a chance on Sunday if they get this one into overtime.

Wacky game. Midway through the 2nd. Dubielewicz is playing out of his mind, yet the Rangers manage to tie it up on 2 weak goals. Very frustrating to watch...
