We Didn’t Forget About You
No need to fear, we have not forgotten about doing a final 2007-2008 season podcast. We did, however, want to take some time to decompress so that when we do the episode, it’s not filled with rash, in-the-heat-of-the-moment, takes and analysis.
Adding to the delay is a travel day for Eric today, as he makes his way back to his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio for the summer months.
All this being said, the NYRangerscast Season Ending Episode will likely be recorded (and hopefully posted) this Wednesday. We’ve gotten a bunch of listener e-mail already, but we’d love some more. If you want to get your thoughts in on the season and the disappointing second round exit drop us a line a hosts@nyrangerscast.com or give us a call at 347-410-9093. Was this season a disappointment? What was the difference in the series with the Penguins? What do the Rangers need to do in the off-season? What should they do about Jagr? Avery? Shanahan? Rozsival?
Let us know you’re thoughts and, soon enough, we’ll let you know ours.
And don’t forget, even though the season is over, we’ll keep on trucking with off-season talk all throughout the summer months.
But for now, it’s off to bed where the nightmares of Malkin winding up from the point and Hossa ending the Rangers’ season with a “miss-shot” just refuse to cease.

How ’bout them Reds, Eric? After today, I’m sensing a Rockies-esque win streak to propel Dusty’s team up to the top of the NL Central and they won’t look back..
Until they trade Griffey..and Dunn..

Oh Michael…don’t get me started on this team. I could bat lead off for them

Haha well let’s see, they need a leadoff hitter so there you go, they need Arroyo and Harang to win some games, they need to get some pop out of their middle infield spots, and they could promote Jay Bruce at any time now..
But other than that, World Series, here you come!

you are lucky that you have dusty. I firmly believe that the downfall of the Giants started when they fired him

They’re playing better baseball now though Richard, if only you could get rid of Zito…
Never thought I’d say those words after the way he pitched in Oakland, but I feel like even I could hit his fastball these days and his 12/6 curveball is more like 12/9, it just spins and doesn’t do anything.
