In my opinion, aside from the Crosbys, Malkins’ and soon Tavares’ of the draft, the draft is a huge ‘what if’, premature for a franchise to get excited about. Generally it leads to disappointment.

Avery is “ok” in his own zone.

Korpedo will be a welcome addition to this team, hes very much a marian hossa clone, with one massive difference, his offensive game is very much dormant. when korpedo finally unlocks his offensive potential, youll see an elite 2-way player. if he never unlocks his offensive potential, he will still be an exceptional defensive forward.

Another huge difference between the two is the fact that the Wings have Datsyuk and Zetterberg, both of whom are great offensively but were also finalists for the Selke Trophy this year, showing their two-way prowess. The Wings’ D can go forward and take chances because their forwards are responsible at the other end of the ice. Other than Drury and the 4th line, none of the Ranger forwards are worth a lick defensively; they’re lazy and apparently have never heard of back-checking. The Rangers can’t afford to use two or three puck-moving defensemen because they can easily get caught out and be susceptible to quick counter-attacks.
