Hollywood Hollweg Out & Upset City
by Eric Rothman - posted Monday, February 4th, 2008
Ryan Hollweg has been suspended one game for the hit he put on Sergei Kostitsyn. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone; the suspension gavel was coming down as soon as the hit occurred. This may actually be a plus for the Rangers since many believe Hollweg has lost whatever it is he once brought to this team. In Steve’s Live Blog, he called for Hollywood never to play another game in a Ranger uniform. We’ll have to see if this suspension helps Steve’s plea.
On another note, it is no secret that I am a Giants fan. So I figured, in light of the Giants upset of the Patriots yesterday I would throw out a hockey related question on same topic. Feel free to leave your comments below. What is the greatest Ranger upset of all time? It could be one game, it could be a series, it could be from 20 years ago, it could be from this year (although not likely). Red fish, blue fish, old fish, new fish, whatever you prefer. This Superbowl for the Giants defines their season and arguably their franchise…so just wanted to know if theres a game/series somewhere that does the same for the Rangers. Lets get some creativity and nostalgia here.
Steve and I will have a show up later this evening. Two huge wins. Is this team for real?
